Hi! I’m JJ.
Interactive Designer, Front-End Wordpress Developer.
Being an artist all of my life, I’ve adapted skills in web development and animation to breathe life into my artwork. I’ve managed to turn art into a career where it is always a pleasure to work. Although I specialize in websites, I’m well-versed when designing for print, packaging, identity and branding campaigns as well. I aim to explore something new and inventive on everything that I do.
(circa Jan. 2005)
I have been working professionally for the last ten years. Over the course of the last 5 years (2004-2009), I’ve spent my day as the Head of Creative for a variety of companies under one man, including Tarkenton Financial, The Small Business Support Center & GoSmallBiz, in Atlanta, Georgia. They are all owned, and operated by Fran Tarkenton, a legend before my time.
(circa Feb. 2004)
Prior to working for Fran, I invested two years (2002-2004) in a rigorous design program at The Creative Circus, a Graduate Advertising & Design School in Atlanta — where I nurtured a love for typography and ran away with eight awards, including Student’s Choice.
I enjoy managing a project from conception to completion, working for a diverse range of clients, and creating unique solutions. I’m able to adapt to a broad range of design styles, depending on the story that I am trying to narrate through my design. I believe that my ability to reach a solution and to simplify decisions about technology is delivered through articulate conversation.
