Atlanta, Ga. – The interactive marking department of the Intercontinental Hotels Group reached out to me to create a simple WordPress blog look and feel. Mockups and build-out was provided with a two day deadline and roughly 10 hours of work.

Hampton Roads, Va. – Orange Peel Transportation started to expand into other states, and came to me in search of a solution to their growth. They also were interested in taking reservations over the internet. This website was built out on the WordPress platform and processes payments with ZenCart. The website shows different information depending on the location the user has selected.

Atlanta, Ga. – AAC contacted me to rework their populated blog as well as their main website. Templates were created for the WordPress-driven infrastructure that took the website out of its typical “one entry after another” blog-style look.

Company was sold — transition to this design has been put on hold.

Atlanta, Ga. – Local Menus is a [currently unreleased] web application that I had built with Ruby on Rails for the restaurant industry. I designed and developed all of the frontend materials and coordinated the information architecture of the backend with the rails developer.

Virginia Beach, Va. – A small record studio came to me in search of something simple, yet profound. My idea for the first version (2006) was to make the site as logical and uncomplicated as the iPod – a product that simplified it’s own industry. All band content is dynamically pulled from files that the client may edit. For the most part, this was a successful attempt at creating a website without your “typical” navigation. The first version of the website has been archived at http://www.windmark.com/old/.

For the second version (2009), we expanded to a WordPress-powered website, and left all of the animation within the header. It displays a 2D animation that could be easily mistaken for 3D. In addition to the new site, a new logotype for Windmark Records was created.

Atlanta, Ga. – This wordpress-powered site was created for a freelance writer here in the Atlanta area. It features a bird’s eye view of his desk, with a very vintage appeal.

Atlanta, Ga. – Artistry was a new restaurant concept that came to Atlanta in 2008, and they spoke with me about carrying the creative spirit of the interior onto the web. I used a lot of textures and fabrics to depict a diverse story to the viewer. I created the identity for the restaurant almost by accident. It was a final solution that I provided just to supplement the existing ideas, and the fact that each letter was individualistic carried the theme that all artists are different and unique.

Atlanta, Ga. – GreatWraps is a National dining chain, serving subs, sandwiches and wraps, and has more than a hundred individual franchises.  Without the freedom to drastically change the pre-existing design, I lightened the whole interface to make the website appear more approachable, and extended the width of the interface to fill a 1024×768 resolution.  I gave “life” to new vegetables, to the left and right of the main area.  I also animated the items on the menus.   More importantly, I transferred the existing ColdFusion backend into that of a WordPress-driven interface, ultimately giving the client more control over their own content. This is a great example of a project with a over-opinionated client, where I had to sacrifice things that I felt should be done, in the interest of satisfying the client.

Atlanta, Ga. – Both of the creators of Rochelle Nicole Magazine came to me in search of a strong, feminine lifestyle magazine. It was important that it archived a monthly barrage of new articles, so WordPress was manipulated to provide a solid platform for these publishers.

Atlanta, Ga. – The Three Mentors were given a fresh, modern look with their new website. I created a three-dimensional piano-like interface to create a depth and sophistication. The perception of large, moving parts gives the company image a solid presence. Each of the major sections functions within a tabbed environment to keep things ultra-clean.
